This page is under construction. We are in the process of organizing our records online so that you can check-in to see how coffee can build communities. For more information on the current Seedling Project, contact askus@croptocup.com and we will send you details. Thank you for your patience.
The final decision will be made by a local
multi-stakeholder Coffee Committee based at the coffee’s
source. The Committee is set up to receive funds reinvested
from you purchases and also report project progress back
to you and us via the C2C website.
By November you’ll be able to see on
this page several projects that your Crop to Cup Coffee purchases
support. You’ll be able to get in touch with the Coffee
Committees too – so you can ask them anything you want,
contribute suggestions or just learn more.
In the meantime, we’re still collecting
percentages of all our coffee sales for these community funds,
and they will be ready to transfer to the Coffee Committees
each time $200 or more is collected. Although C2C is
a for-profit company, we have a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm that
collects and processes all these community donations. This
means that you – our individual or wholesale customers – can
claim tax deductions on these amounts. As a wholesale
customer or individual member of Crop to Cup’s website
you can track how much of your purchases go back as donations
to farmer communities. |
For
information on our nonprofit arm, check out DevelopNet at www.dnetiganga.org. This
is a project that the C2C’s founders have been working
with for several years.
As a registered NGO in the
U.S., DNet handles the administration of funds for all of
the nonprofit activities made possible by C2C and its customers,
i.e. you. |
